WEDDING | Simone & Dan

My 2nd wedding of the 2011 season was for my good friend from college, Simone. She and Dan have been together since high school, and their wedding was so uniquely them! Simone MADE HER OWN WEDDING DRESS!! It was one of the most DIY weddings I've ever photographed, and it was done so well. Everything took place at the Ducktrap Retreat in Lincolnville, ME and it was a perfect location for them to do it all their own way:

This is Simone putting together her bouquet, about an hour before the ceremony:

Simone's brother, Aaron, married them and he read from his cell phone:

Love how they are looking at each other here:

I love them both!

Finishing touches on the bustle - she was practically sewn into that dress for the reception!

One of the most unique cakes I've ever seen at a wedding - each layer was made by a different
friend/family member and then it was frosted and decorated on-site!
